The Cancer Research UK Legacy Garden

After scooping a Silver Gilt medal and Best Construction award at RHS Malvern Spring Festival 2022, The Cancer Research UK Legacy Garden has now been declared the People’s Choice award winner too”.

The Stars of the Show

All the plants chosen in Karen’s Cancer Research UK Legacy Garden (with one exception) have been used in cancer research and some plants in cancer drugs. Planting designer extraordinaire Sophie Parmenter’s painstaking research brought together an incredible and unusual pallet of specimens for us to play with. Garden Designer Karen Tatlow added forget-me-knots (the medical exception) that symbolise her story behind the garden (Karen Tatlow Garden Design). The amazing work of Mike (MJL Garden Design) and Dan & Matt’s team (DesignIt Landscapes) built the dream! A huge smile and high five to all the team planting volunteers including Jane Hayward, Ilene, Sarah Fovargue and Claire….didn’t we do well!
